It’s the time of year that we naturally reflect on the past 12 months and think about the year ahead. I looked back at the newsletter that I sent this time last year – and Brexit was mentioned then too. At the time of writing, this is still an extremely hot topic and still very uncertain.

However, I would like to wish you all the compliments of the season and to let you know that I will be taking a break from Thursday 20th December until Thursday 3rd January 2018. Although I will check my emails periodically in case anything urgent is sent in to me.

Last year I referred you to a previous blog on Christmas parties. This is still relevant, so I’ll post you towards it again.  It’s a good way to ensure that your Christmas party is fun and will hopefully help to avoid any awkward conversations afterwards!

As well as the usual monthly blogs on what has been happening in the employment legislation arena I’ve also commented of some issues that I think you need to be aware of. Things such as Settled Status for your EU employees, the abolition of Childcare vouchers and their replacement Tax Free Childcare.

If any of these articles hit a nerve, call me on 07847 549790 or drop me an email

Looking back over the last 12 months, it seems that we have coped with a lot, GDPR, the Football World Cup and all the uncertainty of Brexit, which is clearly going to be uncertain for some time yet. For me, it was an busy year and I’m looking forward to next year.
